A319/A320 CAT III PRACTICAL

Course Number: A32000202

ATA Level = 3

Prerequisite: Airframe and Power plant preferred

Length of Course: 80 hours

Course Description:

This course is a practical session demonstrating the use of Navigation and Autoflight controls, displays indications and component locations. The trainee will perform tests required to return the aircraft to CATII/CATIII status.  The  length of the course is determined by aircraft availability.

Objectives:

This course satisfies ATA spec 104 level III objectives. Upon completion the student will be able to:
                                                
•  Perform normal Auto-Land system test.

•  Recall interfaces between avionics and airframe systems.

 
•  Recall safety precautions when working around the
   aircraft with special emphasis on human factors and
   situational awareness.
 
•  Recall routine servicing, normal and non-normal system operations and identify and record anomalies using Built In Test Equipment (BITE).
 
•  Identify system power sources. 
 
•  Recall principal component location and access points. 
 
•  Recall proper use of troubleshooting tools in order to correctly  identify, verify and repair faults.
 
•  Identify in-service problems for type aircraft.
