B737-200 SYSEM INTRODUCTION

Prerequisite: Airframe and Powerplant prefered

Length of Course: 40 hours

Course Description:                                        This course is designed for Line and Base maintenance technicians. The following aircraft systems will be covered: detailed descriptions, operations, component locations, removal / installations and basic trouble shooting of aircraft related systems.

Objectives: 

This course satisfies ATA spec 104 level III objectives.
Upon completion the student will be able to:

•  Recall normal functions of the aircraft systems as 
applicable including electrical, fuel, power plants, 
hydraulic systems, LOPA configurations of the aircraft, 
landing gear, pneumatics, Air conditioning, fire protection,   oxygen systems, lights, doors, windows and avionics.

•  Recall interfaces between avionics and airframe systems.

•  Recall safety precautions when working around the aircraft with special emphasis on human factors and situational  awareness.

•  Recall routine servicing, normal and non-normal system operations and identify and record anomalies using Built In Test Equipment (BITE).
 
•  Identify system power sources.

•  Recall principal component location and access points.

•  Recall proper use of trouble shooting tools in order to
    correctly identify, verify and repair faults.

•  Identify in-service problems for type aircraft.
