Prerequisite:  B74740101/102/201

Length of Course: 32 hours

Course Description:                                        This course covers, in detail, the Navigation, including Flight Management Computer FMC, Flight director and Autopilot systems required for CAT III status.

Objectives:                                                                           This course satisfies ATA spec 104 level III objectives. Upon completion the student will be able to:

•  Recall normal functions of the aircraft systems as applicable to the Auto-Land system.

•  Recall interfaces between avionics and airframe systems.

•  Recall safety precautions when working around the aircraft with special emphasis on human factors and situational awareness.

•  Recall routine servicing, normal and non-normal system operations and identify and record anomalies using Built In Test Equipment BITE.

•  Identify system power sources. 

•  Recall principal component location and access points. 

•  Recall proper use of troubleshooting tools in order to correctly identify, verify and repair faults.

•  Identify in-service problems for type aircraft.
